STUDY

Resources

Texts, chants, and guides to support your practice.

Support for the path.

Zazen, sitting meditation, is the foundation of Zen practice, but it is not the whole of it. Study, chanting, meeting with a teacher, retreats, and the shared life of our community all help practice take root and grow.

At Appamada we teach Zen as a practice of relationship: with ourselves, with one another, and with everything we meet in this very moment. Zen isn't a withdrawal from ordinary life. It is ordinary life, lived fully. The guides, chants, texts and books gathered here support that practice, wherever you are on the path.
